2 cups milk 5 Tbsp. sugar 2 Tbsp. cornstarch 1 egg yolks or yellow food coloring 1 tsp. vanilla extract Mix cornstarch with the sugar, add about 5 Tbsp. of the cold milk, the egg
yolk, and the vanilla extract. Mix well. Bring the rest of the milk to a boil. Take of the stove and stirr in the cornstarch mix. Put back on the stove and bring one more time to a boil. Let cool in a mold, or in a
glass bowl. Sauce will build a skin while cooling, do not stirr. Remove skin when sauce is cold. |
