3 T butter 1 clove garlic, whole 1 large onion, minced 1 quart cooked tomatoes, strained 8 sprigs parsley 1 sprig thyme 4 celery tops salt & pepper 1 t sugar Heat
butter and drop garlic in for 2 minutes. Remove garlic and add minced onion; stir until light brown. Add strained tomatoes and drop into this the parsley, thyme, and celery tops tied together. Season with salt and
pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove herbs and add sugar. Serve hot. |
