1 lb liver, ground 1/2 lb pork, ground 1 c bread crumbs 1 c bread soaked in water and pressed dry 1 egg 1 scant c flour salt and pepper 1/4 t grated nutmeg 1 onion, minced
few sprigs parsley, chopped, if desired 4 t butter 1/2 c dry bread crumbs Mix first 10 ingredients in order given and drop by teaspoonfuls into boiling salted water. Boil 15 minutes. Remove to a serving
dish and top with bread crumbs which have been browned in butter. Serve with Sauerkraut. |
