4 large potatoes 1 large onion 4 c boiling water 4 c milk 1/2 t salt 1/8 t pepper 1 large lump butter 2 t chopped parsley
-- Grumbera (Literally: Ground pear) means potato in Pennsylvania Dutch Peel and dice the potatoes, peel the onion and slice very thin. Boil together in the water until they are tender. Add milk, stirring constantly
until soup reaches the boiling point. Turn down heat and let simmer for a few minutes. Season, add butter, sprinkle with parsley, and serve. Makes 8 servings. |
